The BMW 3 Series 318i is the entry-level petrol variant of BMW's mid-size executive sedan, powered by a 1500cc turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with an automatic gearbox. In Pakistani city traffic, expect roughly 8-11 km/l depending on how hard you push it. The engine is reasonably responsive at low speeds and the automatic transmission shifts smoothly, making it comfortable for daily commuting in Karachi, Lahore, or Islamabad.
Owning a BMW in Pakistan means you need to be deliberate about maintenance. Genuine parts are available through authorised dealers and some specialist importers, but costs are noticeably higher than Japanese alternatives. Local mechanics familiar with BMW platforms exist mainly in larger cities, but for anything beyond routine servicing, a specialist workshop is strongly recommended. Resale value holds reasonably well among the premium segment, though it is sensitive to service history and condition.
