The manual gearbox is straightforward and easy to drive in stop-and-go traffic, and fuel economy in city conditions is reasonable for a van of this size.

Changan has been building its dealer and parts network in Pakistan steadily, and the Karvaan in particular has become common enough in cities like Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi that mechanics are increasingly familiar with it. Being a relatively recent entrant, major wear items like suspension bushings and AC components are worth checking on used examples. Resale is still developing compared to established Japanese nameplates, so expect some depreciation in the short term.
