The Daihatsu Rocky 1.0L Turbo CVT is a subcompact SUV built around a turbocharged three-cylinder engine displacing just under one litre. Despite the small displacement, the turbo helps it feel reasonably capable in urban traffic rather than strained. The CVT keeps things smooth in stop-and-go conditions, though like most CVTs it can feel a bit rubbery when you push hard. In Pakistani city traffic, expect fuel returns in the 12-15 km/l range depending on how you drive and how often the AC is running.
The Rocky sits on the DNGA platform shared with several Daihatsu and Toyota products, which means the basic engineering is well-tested. However, in Pakistan this nameplate is not as widely established as Toyota Corolla or Honda City, so finding a specialist mechanic familiar with the 1KR-VET turbo engine outside major cities may take some effort. Parts availability is improving but still limited compared to mainstream Japanese options. Resale is harder to predict given the relatively thin market presence.
