The Hyundai Santro is a compact hatchback that was assembled in Pakistan and aimed squarely at buyers wanting something slightly more spacious than a Mehran but still easy to park and run in city traffic. The 1.0L three-cylinder engine is modest rather than punchy — it handles urban commuting comfortably but feels stretched on motorways or with a full load. The manual gearbox is light and easy to drive, which suits newer drivers. The Club and Exec trims differ mainly in interior features, with Exec getting a few extra comfort additions. Expect city fuel economy roughly in the 10-12 km/l range depending on traffic and AC use.

The Santro had a reasonable run in Pakistan but was discontinued, which is the key thing to know before buying a used one. Parts availability has thinned out compared to Japanese alternatives — some body panels and interior trim can be harder to source. Local mechanics familiar with the platform exist but are less common than for Toyota or Suzuki products.
