McLaren 720S

The McLaren 720S is a mid-engine British supercar sitting at the upper end of what McLaren offers outside their Ultimate Series. The Performance variant adds uprated brakes and a track-focused suspension setup over the base trim, while the Spider swaps the fixed roof for a retractable hardtop. Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 producing around 720PS, driving the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. In everyday driving the engine is surprisingly tractable at low speeds, but opens up aggressively past 4,000 rpm. The gearbox is smooth in auto mode for city use and snappy in manual.

In Pakistan, the 720S exists in a very small ownership circle, concentrated almost entirely in Lahore and Karachi. Authorised servicing is not available locally, so owners typically rely on specialist importers or fly parts in. Resale is limited by the tiny buyer pool, and values depend heavily on condition and service history. Suspension components, tyres, and carbon ceramic brakes are expensive and require sourcing from abroad.

The 720S suits a buyer who already owns more practical vehicles and wants a track-capable weekend car. The honest limitation is the total cost of ownership in Pakistan — parts, tyres, and any bodywork are genuinely expensive and slow to source. Not a daily driver by any practical measure.
