The Toyota Passo 1.0 Moda is the top trim of this compact Japanese hatchback, built around a 996cc three-cylinder engine paired with a CVT. It sits in the light hatchback segment alongside cars like the Suzuki Alto and Daihatsu Mira, but offers slightly more cabin space and a more refined feel. The Moda trim adds cosmetic and comfort upgrades over the base grade. In city traffic expect fuel returns in the 12-15 km/l range depending on AC use and driving style. The CVT keeps things smooth in stop-and-go conditions, though the small engine does need to be worked when merging onto highways.
The Passo runs on the same platform as the Daihatsu Boon, and both share mechanicals that are reasonably well understood by mechanics in Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad who handle Japanese kei-adjacent cars. Parts are available through Japanese used-parts importers, though not as readily as Toyota Corolla items. Being a grey import, resale is decent in major cities but slower in smaller towns where buyers prefer locally assembled options.
