The Changan UNI-V 1.5T IDD Hybrid is the plug-in hybrid variant of Changan's sporty fastback sedan, sitting at the upper end of the UNI-V lineup. It pairs a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor through a DCT gearbox. In pure EV mode around the city, fuel consumption drops significantly, and the combined system gives the car a responsive, punchy feel off the line. The DCT handles urban stop-go reasonably well once warmed up, though like most dual-clutch units it can feel slightly hesitant at very low crawling speeds.

Changan has been expanding its dealer and service network in Pakistan, and the UNI-V has reasonable parts support through official channels. That said, the IDD hybrid system is relatively new to the local market, so independent mechanics outside major cities may not be fully familiar with the high-voltage components. Resale data for this specific hybrid variant is still thin since it is a recent entrant, so expect some price discovery in the used market over the next couple of years.
