The Daihatsu Taft 660 G Turbo is a kei-class SUV built around a turbocharged 660cc engine paired with a CVT. It sits at the G trim level, which typically brings a reasonable feature set for a small SUV. The turbo compensates well for the small displacement, giving it enough pull for city driving and light highway use. The CVT keeps things smooth in stop-and-go traffic, though it is not the most engaging setup if you prefer a more direct feel. Expect city fuel returns in the 14-18 km/l range depending on how hard the turbo is working.
The Taft is a relatively recent nameplate revival from Daihatsu, and in Pakistan it sits in a niche segment. Being a kei SUV, it shares platform and mechanical DNA with other Daihatsu and Toyota kei vehicles, so basic servicing is manageable, but specialist parts may need to be sourced through importers. Resale is still establishing itself given limited volume in the market.
