McLaren GT

The McLaren GT is a grand tourer built around a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 producing around 620 bhp, sitting in the McLaren lineup as the more comfortable, longer-distance option compared to the track-focused 720S. It targets buyers who want serious performance but also need to cover ground in relative comfort. In Pakistani city traffic the engine is docile enough at low speeds, but the power delivery becomes very direct once you open it up on motorways. The seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox is smooth in automatic mode for daily use.

In Pakistan the McLaren GT is a rare machine, so local mechanic familiarity is essentially zero outside a handful of specialist workshops in Karachi and Lahore. Parts sourcing is a genuine challenge and will require importing, which adds cost and waiting time. Resale is limited to a very small pool of buyers, so liquidity is low compared to mainstream performance cars.

The GT does offer a usable rear luggage area and a more compliant ride than most McLarens, which counts for something on Pakistani roads. The honest limitation is the ownership infrastructure — servicing and parts are genuinely difficult. This suits a buyer who already has a daily driver and wants an occasional-use performance car and can manage overseas parts sourcing.
