The Nissan March 12S is a compact city hatchback powered by a 1200cc petrol engine paired with a CVT gearbox. It sits in the light hatchback segment alongside cars like the Suzuki Cultus and Toyota Vitz, aimed at urban commuters who want something slightly more refined than a kei car without stepping up to a full 1300cc class. The CVT keeps city driving relaxed with no gear hunting in stop-and-go traffic, and you can realistically expect somewhere in the 12-14 km/l range in Karachi or Lahore conditions depending on AC use and traffic.
The March has a reasonable following in Pakistani cities, particularly among buyers who import Japanese used units. Because it shares platform and drivetrain DNA with widely sold Nissan products, basic mechanical work is manageable at most workshops familiar with Japanese imports. CVT fluid changes are the most important maintenance item to stay on top of, as neglected CVTs on this generation can become expensive. Suspension components and AC parts are generally sourceable through the Japanese import parts market in major cities.
