The 1.6 and 1.6L GLS step up to a larger engine that gives noticeably more pull on highways and feels more comfortable at motorway speeds. Automatic variants are available on higher trims, and the gearbox is smooth enough for stop-and-go Lahore or Karachi traffic.

The Accent was never assembled locally in large volumes, so parts availability is more limited than a Corolla or City. Mechanics in major cities are familiar with the platform, but smaller towns may require sourcing parts from Karachi importers. Resale is softer than Japanese equivalents, which means buying used can offer good value but selling later takes patience. For older examples, check the timing belt service history, suspension bushings, and AC compressor condition as these are common wear items.

The GLS trim offers the most complete feature set and holds relative value better within the Accent range. The honest limitation is that the after-sales ecosystem is thinner than Japanese rivals.
