The 1.5L e-POWER variants (Tekna and Tekna+) use a series-hybrid setup where the petrol engine primarily generates electricity — the driving feel is closer to an EV, with smooth, linear power delivery and strong low-speed torque that suits stop-and-go Lahore or Karachi traffic well.

The Qashqai is not a common sight in Pakistan and is not locally assembled, which means parts availability is limited compared to Toyota or Honda options. Most mechanics outside major cities will be unfamiliar with the e-POWER hybrid system, so ownership is more practical in Karachi, Lahore, or Islamabad where specialist workshops exist. Resale value tends to be unpredictable for grey-import crossovers of this type in Pakistan.

The e-POWER variants suit a buyer who wants a refined, near-EV driving experience without full EV commitment, and who has access to a trusted workshop. The honest limitation is after-sales support — parts lead times can be long and costs high. The DIG-T trims are a better fit for buyers who prefer conventional servicing.
